This PedsCases Podcast aims to summarize the recent 2021 Canadian Pediatric Society (CPS) statement written by Dr. Shaw on promoting early literacy in the healthcare setting. This podcast was created by Emily Cheung, a first-year medical student at McMaster University with the help of Dr. Mel Lewis, a pediatrician in Edmonton, in conjunction with PedsCases and the CPS.


This podcast will review Part 2 of the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) anxiety position statements, which focuses on the treatment and management approach for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders. In this episode, listeners will review the three main categories of treatment modalities: psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy. The podcast was created by Luke MacDonald, a second year medical student at Dalhousie University, in collaboration with Dr. Susan Bobbitt, a Developmental Pediatrician at the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program at Kinsmen Children's Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

This podcast will discuss Pediatric Disability. The podcast was created by Emily Kacer, second year medical student studying at McMaster University with the support of Dr. Mohammad Zubairi, a developmental pediatrician and Associate Professor at McMaster University who serves as the Medical Director for McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program. This podcast will cover the topic of disability in the pediatric population and discuss the F-words framework  and will introduce and discuss some of the challenges faced by children with a disability.
