This podcast presents an overview of female genital cutting, or FGC, from a pediatric perspective. In it, the listener will learn to discuss what FGC is, where and why it is performed, the complications of FGC, how FGC is addressed in Canadian law, an approach to discussing FGC with patients and their families, and an approach to a pelvic exam in a child who has been cut. The podcast was developed by Dora Gyenes, a third-year medical student at the University of Alberta, with support from Dr. Cathy Flood, a urogynecologist at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

This podcast presents an approach to the diagnosis and management of molluscum contagiosum in children. Listeners will be able to describe the morphology and treatment of molluscum contagiosum along with indications to refer to a dermatologist. The episode was developed by Aryan Riahi, a medical student at the University of British Columbia, with the help of Dr. M. B. Shokravi, a dermatologist in Vancouver.

This podcast is a review of the Canadian Pediatric Society's position statement on postnatal corticosteroids to prevent or treat bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants.  It was developed by Dr. Amélie Cyr, a pediatric resident at the University of Saskatchewan with Drs. Brigitte Lemyre, Michael Dunn, Bernard Thébaud, the principle authors of the statement. Dr. Brigitte Lemyre is a clinical investigator and an academic neonatologist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and at the Ottawa Hospital.  Dr. Michael Dunn is a neonatologist at Sunnybrook Health Science in Toronto and Dr. Bernard Thébaud is a senior scientist with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and a neonatologist at CHEO and the Ottawa Hospital.

In it, the listener will learn to define types of housing need in Canada, to understand the health impacts of housing need, to assess housing status in the clinical setting, and to discuss how pediatricians, residents, and medical students can advocate for the housing needs of their patients.
